Rosen Parramore PS8 Preschool
Rosen Parramore PS8 Foundation, Inc. is a publicly-funded nonprofit program that supports the preschool classrooms at Orange County Public School Academic Center for Excellence in the Parramore neighborhood. This free program serves students living in the Parramore neighborhood that are zoned for The Academic Center for Excellence (ACE).

The Academic Center for Excellence (ACE), located at 701 W Livingston Street in downtown Orlando, proudly serves as a Community Partnership School in the historic Parramore neighborhood. Rooted in unity, resilience, and a shared commitment to student achievement, ACE embraces excellence not just as a goal—but as a daily standard.
Guided by Principal Natasha Pender, ACE supports students from VPK through 8th grade, fostering a nurturing and academically rigorous environment. The school’s mission centers on maintaining high expectations for every learner while continuously enriching the educational experience. In collaboration with families and community partners, ACE empowers students through strong academics, essential life skills, and diverse opportunities to discover and develop their potential.

Jones High School College & Career Resources
Jones High School (JHS), located at 801 S. Rio Grande Avenue, Orlando, FL 32805, serves students in grades 9 through 12. Led by Principal Orlando Norwood, JHS is committed to creating a school environment where every student feels valued, supported, and safe, fostering both academic achievement and positive daily experiences.
The school’s success is built on strong collaboration among families, educators, support staff, community partners, and administrators, all working together to support students’ academic, social, and emotional development.

Parramore Kidz Zone
Parramore Kidz Zone (PKZ), launched by Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer as the city’s first Kidz Zone initiative, has been dedicated for over a decade to enhancing the lives of children in Orlando’s most economically challenged neighborhood. Each year, the City of Orlando invests approximately $2.5 million into a network of partner programs throughout Parramore. These efforts focus on:
- Expanding access to high-quality early childhood education
- Strengthening parenting skills
- Reducing economic hardship among families
- Promoting physical health and wellness
- Supporting academic achievement from elementary through high school
- Increasing college enrollment and completion rates
- Guiding older youth away from risky behaviors and toward positive life outcomes

Levy-Hughes Boys & Girls Club
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida provide a safe, nurturing environment for youth and teens ages 6 to 18, serving some of the region’s most underserved neighborhoods. Open every day after school and throughout the summer, the Clubs offer enriching experiences at little or no cost to families.
Grounded in the belief that every child deserves the opportunity to thrive—regardless of income or life circumstance—the Clubs focus on helping young people succeed academically, become responsible citizens, and lead healthy, fulfilling lives. Across 39 Club locations, children gain the confidence and support they need to make positive choices, avoid risky behaviors, and build a foundation for a successful future.
