Criteria
Rosen Scholars must meet all requirements listed below to qualify for the Rosen Scholarship.
- You and your parent(s)/legal guardian(s) must have lived full-time in either Tangelo Park or within a select area of Parramore during your entire junior and senior years of high school. Proof of residency required.
- Only seniors can apply. You must be a senior at Dr. Phillips High School, Jones High School, a magnet program at another OCPS high school, OCPS alternative school or OCPS charter school in Orange County, Florida.
- You and your parent(s)/legal guardian(s) must meet with your scholarship coordinator who can help verify and confirm your eligibility. You can attend a group meeting or schedule a separate meeting, but this meeting must occur during your senior year.
- Complete and submit the application form provided by your scholarship coordinator on or before the deadline date with other required documents. (TBA).
- Getting approved for this scholarship includes your commitment to starting and attending a public Florida community/state college, state university, or technical college full-time.
- You must complete 25 hours of volunteer service before you graduate high school. Register with OCPS Additions for volunteer opportunities.
- If you are a Florida Bright Futures candidate, please check your volunteer requirements. They may be different.
- The Rosen scholarship is designed to cover your financial needs after financial aid and other scholarships have been paid.
- A Rosen scholarship must be activated within the first school year after graduating high school and no later than the summer semester after a year of graduation.
